RESIDENTIAL AREA
A quiet corner of Castello
My Apartment is one of those places where you can tell that thought has gone into the furnishings. It’s not anonymous — it has a clear aesthetic, considered details, a look that makes a difference. 40 square metres laid out sensibly: a separate bedroom, a living area with a sofa bed for a third guest, a equipped kitchen and a full bathroom. The windows look onto gardens, so you have a green outlook rather than the usual Venetian walls — which makes the spaces brighter and more pleasant to be in. It’s on a quiet residential street in Castello, one of those calli where the silence holds and daily Venetian life carries on without mass tourism. First floor, so one flight of stairs, but nothing demanding. Fully equipped with everything you need — a good fit for a couple or three friends who want to be comfortable without excess.
In the neighbourhood:
▸ Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo: 2-minute walk
▸ Ospedale Civile: 200 metres
▸ Piazza San Marco: 10-minute walk
▸ Biennale (Arsenale and Giardini): 15-minute walk
▸ Ponte di Rialto: 12 minutes
▸ Vaporetto stop Ospedale: 300 metres
▸ Coop supermarket nearby
▸ Local greengrocer, bakery and food shops
▸ Bars and traditional restaurants
▸ Libreria Acqua Alta: 10 minutes
My Apartment works well for those who appreciate spaces that have been put together with care and want to feel at home rather than in an anonymous tourist rental. The furnishings make the difference: deliberate details, colours chosen thoughtfully, furniture with a consistent style. The garden view keeps everything brighter and more pleasant, particularly on a longer stay. The apartment is fully equipped: a kitchen that works for real cooking, a washing machine in the building, fast WiFi for working. Castello is the right sestiere if you want to experience Venice at a measured pace — San Marco is 10 minutes away, the Biennale is 15, and you return to a residential area with neighbourhood shops and osterie that locals actually use. A good option for couples or three friends who want room to move around without feeling cramped.
My Apartment covers 40 square metres on the first floor of a typical Venetian building on a quiet residential street in Castello. A private entrance leads into a hallway connecting the different areas. The living room is bright and looks out onto the gardens through wide windows, with a sofa bed for a third guest.
The kitchen is integrated into the living space and fully equipped — hob, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and everything needed for cooking. There’s a dining area with table and chairs. The bedroom is separate and has a double bed with comfortable room to move around. The bathroom has a shower, hairdryer and courtesy kit. The furnishings throughout are considered: colours, furniture and accessories have been chosen with a clear aesthetic in mind. The garden view adds light and makes the space more pleasant to live in.

It means this isn’t a standard apartment with anonymous furniture. Colours have been chosen deliberately, the furniture has a consistent style, and the details make a difference. If you have an eye for interiors and appreciate spaces that have been thought about, this apartment will work for you.
In Venice’s historic centre, you usually look out onto walls and narrow calli. Here you see greenery and gardens, which makes the spaces brighter and more pleasant. It’s noticeable, particularly on a longer stay when you want something calming to look at when you open the windows.
Yes — the bedroom has a double bed and there’s a sofa bed in the living room. It works well for two couples of friends or a couple with a friend. Three people with enough space not to feel on top of each other.
No — the washing machine is available in the building and charged separately. If you’d prefer one in the apartment itself, Ca Melusina or Ca de la Cenise would be a better fit.
Very. The Arsenale and the Giardini are a 15-minute walk. A number of our guests choose Castello specifically for that proximity — easy to get to the Biennale, and a quiet residential neighbourhood to come back to in the evening.
